It could be that your magnesium or calcium levels are low and the vitamin D is making them lower. Vit D can be antagonistic to these minerals if they are already low. I had an allergy to D too until I figured this out. First try taking some magnesium citrate (just my choice of magnesium because other forms of mg did not work for me) for a week before adding half the amount of vitamin D you usally take. If you are still allergic to the D then take a combo of Magnesium citrate and calcium citrate for a week before adding vitamin D.
