nothing wrong with unys post. it has been posted before and recieved the same scrutiny.
the fact remains, without all the regs and fanfare and if demand were high enough to extinguish the novelty, $50/liter would be high dollar retail. Iodine is not rare or costly to produce. i also believe i am over-estimating.
the other reason for the high dollar amounts is because all medical suppliers gouge the hell out of providers and it gets passed along to patients who have no way to know and no means to do anything about it. why sell it for a dollar when people will still buy it at 10, or 100, or even 1000? everyone has heard of the $20 aspirin just because you had a headache in the hospital. how dare people be in need!
