MH Can you help my mother?

Hi MH,

My mother is 72 yrs old, and has several health issues, and I hope you can help her. She has Type II Diabetes, she takes insulin twice a day, high blood pressure, just founded out that she's on 3 blood pressure medications, she has problems with her feet, swelling and pain in her left foot, to the point where she's limping, and in her right foot just swelling, also there's one other thing that I think is kind of strange, her face is about 2 or 3 shades darker then the rest of her body, it hasn't always been like this, about 5 yrs or so, her face just became really dark, she doesn't spend much time outside, so I'm not sure why this happen, just wondering if this is a sign of some other health issue. I'm not sure I can get her to fast, as a diabetic, she feels she needs to eat every few hours, to keep her sugar from dropping. I know how important it is to eat right, but I'm hoping there is something you can recommend that will help her even if she doesn't change her eating habits. If she could at least get rid of the pain and swelling in her feet, and be able to cut down on some of the medications she's taking, that would be great.
