Re: So no one even asked you before your name came up?

Hi, Banooado,

Someone, somewhere, thinks I have something to offer CureZone, using the moderator tools.

I didn't offer myself.

As sweet and kind (and dimwitted?) as I may seem to be on these boards...I am actually much more...as we all are.

I've...uh...'been around the block'...and arrived at the state of mind we are all headed to in 'seniority'.

I now know something of what I can and can't do...what I will and won't attempt.

That's why I must say (above), "Thanks, but no thanks."

I have also noticed something of how a bulletin board such as the CureZone functions, so I suggest that there be different 'rules' of conduct...the objective being, of course, that everyone who reads here has a positive experience. Anything less is counter-productive to the objectives of those who MAKE the CureZone...the posters, and those who read.

One of the things I learned when I first began posting on the Internet is that nothing (and I mean NO thing) may actually be what it seems, here. That's one reason I think there should be a law against the vulnearble having 'access'. But that's a heck of a thing to judge and enforce.

There is a better way to protect the vulnerable...appeal to people's better instincts. With every person's every success in discerning 'truth', the concept of 'truth' gets stronger and stronger.

We are our brother's keeper.

Why do I use punctuation, for example? I've been told, by someone who should know, that punctuation is annoying to younger people...like 'elevator music'.

So, I figure that, if no one ever sees the alternative, no one else will ever understand its usefulness.

Besides, knowing something about punctuation, phrasing spoken language, and spelling, helps me to judge the value, to me, of products and writers I research.

I can read, and understand, 'legalese'. If I can't, I know to question why. It may be a missed comma, or a flawed train of thought. Or, someone might be trying to sell me a pig in a poke bonnet. (Dressing up a critter to make it appear to be something it ain't.)

I can read Shakespeare, in its original form, and pretty well 'get' it...even delight in it.

Excellent communication is not dead...people just have to dig a little deeper for it.

And, above all, we have instinct...the truest voice any of us will ever hear.

The greatest crime, in my opinion, is to deliberately alter a person's words to make them seem to be saying something else. Heavens! There are whole businesses offering that service these days!

I get by, simply by giving them nothing to shoot at.

I've already bumped into a few who would shoot my point-of-view out of the saddle, for whatever reason. It hasn't worked, so far.

As for stealing something from me...I've got nothing to steal. I want my best ideas to be widely and freely known. Makes a better world for me and mine, anyway.

I really do appreciate the 'heads up', Banooado. It confirms my faith in the good intentions of most people.

We'll win, I'm sure of that.

My best,

Fledgling

P.S. For anyone who hasn't seen 'the list', I found it by accidently clicking on one of the links given for the survey.

F.
