I agree wholeheartedly with all of this, especially that people should take personal responsibility for their own health. The one caveat is that although it is very important to become knowledgeable about what's going on with your health and educating yourself, don't get completely sucked in by everything you read or hear, especially if it sounds too good to be true. Just like some drugs might lower your blood pressure by only a few notches and not necessarily prevent disease, doing something like altering your pH by 0.005 won't necessarily prevent disease either.
