Perhaps we could shed some light on this, Wombat...

V uses KI exlusively...in several threads I've read that Iodine is oxidative. Makes me wonder if potassium Iodide is NOT oxidative.

Continued use of high dosages (high dosages yet undefined) of Iodine WITHOUT their necessary companion ANTI-oxidant supplements (such as vitamin C) & a high antioxidant (fruits & vegies) diet, might disrupt homeostasis?

I'm only throwing this out there to see if I'm way off base or whatever.

Anyone have any thoughts on this theory?
