Re: Mr. Germany, I'm here! n/t

No. I absolutely have not found a cure or anything remotely close to it.

I've listened to some researchers and they sound tired and clueless. Every time they think they may have something, they find more complications with the disease that they were unaware of before. They are still working on the mouse model overseas but I haven't heard how that's going. They did a clinical study about 18 months ago with an antistatin drug Wyeth had produced, but there were no positive results reported.

There was a feature article on FSH in a recent issue of Quest. The article was filled with line drawings take from Lewis Carrol's Alice in Wonderland. Analogies were taken from lines in the book. They are really chasing white rabbits down their holes with this.

If a neurological disease is immune system-related, I believe that, in time, it can be healed. But since this one is a gene deficiency, I'm just not so sure any more. I'm sorry to disappoint you.

My strategy now is just to be as healthy as I can learn how to be in order to prevent anything else from being wrong. Besides that, I pray every day for the Lord to touch my body. If He chooses not to, He has a higher purpose in mind and I can live with that if it brings Him greater glory. My hope is that He has a special day in mind where He will reveal His power to heal with me. I pray that He will touch you, too.

love,
Donna
