this is the thing ppl are NOT understanding, the chinese ppl DO consume the very same things they export to the world, in fact they consume them at a higher rate than the rest of the world. the difference is that their immune systems have adjusted, they are used to it, so small amounts no longer have immediate consequences, its just more of the same - long slow death of a thousand paper cuts.

the chinese are completely THRASHING both their enviornment and their own health in pursuit of the almighty yuan (dollar), its a sad sight to witness for such an old and venerated culture to act this way, astounding really.

we should have supported chiang kai shek when we had the chance! this is a knee jerk reaction to decades of poverty and oppression under mao and his followers.

what they dont want you to know - the underlying story NO ONE wants to discuss is that the chinese hold so much of our foreign debt (thanks largely to an ill planned and absurd war that we cant afford) that they could literally destroy the ever weakening dollar by tomorrow simply by flooding the market with dollars. in other words, they have us by the economic short hairs. our ability to put pressure on them, economically or politically, is very limited right now.

i suspect that all this means a lot of talk and bru haha by gov officials in both countries, but little real change. money talks, BS walks, and right now all we got is BS! Tweet
