No, Trapper that is too cynical. We deserve so much better even if we have by and large written a blank check to those in power.

We have been taught all of our lives to believe in our leaders and our system of government. Blame the liars and the brainwashers more than the great unwashed who thought they were doing the right thing by believing what we were told and trying to be good, loyal citizens.

It is easy to see once you break free of the fog, my friend, but so hard to break through a lifetime of training and conditioning. And the words of the Declaration of Independence are a long, long echo away.
