Re: Olive or Peanut?

Hi,

Use the olive oil -- best to stay away from peanut oil in general. It's what whole-foods writer Nina Planck (www.ninaplanck.com for some great articles on this stuff) calls an "industrial" oil -- extracted and processed to a point where it has no nutritional value and can cause harm. Consensus on this forum is to avoid peanut, soy and canola (both for OP and in general).

I pulled with olive oil for a while in the winter. I got great results, although the one caveat is that, unlike other oils which can whiten/brighten your teeth, olive can give them a sort of yellow-green cast. It won't stain, and it won't happen between when you OP today and get one of the other oils, but it happened to me over a little time!

I don't have a favorite oil -- the basic protocol at
http://www.oilpulling.com
calls for sesame or sunflower. I have used those, olive as I mentioned, walnut, safflower, flax, coconut, etc., and have added some oregano oil to those oils, too.

Happy pulling! I hope to hear more about your results soon.

Laura
