...and don't forget JEWELWEED

I used to be terrorized by poison ivy, and I have no fear and now haven't gotten it in more than 10 years. The solution for me was jewelweed, always found (in New England at least) around streams or water. Just pick it up and rub the sap from the stem all over the poison ivy and it's amazingly effective. This is my all-time favorite plant, and I always feel grateful whenever I see it. I've always wondered if the jewelweed went so far as to cure me from sensitivity to poison ivy so that now I don't ever get it to begin with. Tweet
