Maybe, since Iodine is the heaviest, it REplaces them all.


It is my understanding that the lighter ones will displace the heavier ones, if the receptor sites are vacant.

Apparently receptor cells have a preference for iodine, which is the heaviest. So if Iodine is available, the body hooks up with it first. And if it's not available, the cells hook up with something that displaces it.

But I'm an anthropologist, not a scientist, so I'm not sure if I get it.
