Chlamydia/Impotence

I am desperately trying to find the answer as to why I became impotent after
contracting Chlamydia when the two are not normally linked.
The problem broke up my relationship. When I was eventually treated for Chlamydia,
gradually the impotence subsided. Are you able to help answer this?
