Have been married for 5years and dated 3years before that

Hi,

As my subject line says, I have been with the same partner for over 8 years. My husband had epididemides 3years ago, and I was tested for chlamydia about 3 years ago. This test came back negatif. I was tested mainly because it is the procedure of my then new doctor.

2 weeks ago, my reproductive doctor with whom I have been working with for the past 10 months, announced me that I had Chlamydia. I trust my husband when he says he didn't do anything. But is it possible to have chlamydia for ovber 8years and not feel any symptoms, and maybe be tested for Chlamydia nad have a negative result if the virus is in a dormant form??

How else can we get Chlamydia other than by sexual contact?
