Re: Spore formers in probiotics

There are plenty of clincal studies done with the lactobacillus sporogenes and their impact on human health. This strain of bacteria is naturally occurring and is not a mutated form of artificially resistant bacteria.
It has been used for thousands of years and is an important strain in the human gut. Places like India and Japan value fermented foods like lassi and natto, which contain this strain of bacteria and are clinically proven to help with digestive issues and maintain healthy cholesterol levels.

Unlike the scare tactics posed by quackwatch, this strain of bacteria is only a semi-resident and will leave the gut within 7-10 days after stopping supplementation.
It produces the highly beneficial L-Lactic acid which helps maintain proper pH levels in the gut (thus preventing fungal overgrowth).

I've used different products with lactobacillus sporogenes on and off for 2 years now (energetix, AFI, Pure encapuslations, threelac, primal defense, thorne research) and can only say it helps my digestive track (helps with bloating, proper stool formation). Everytime biofeedback (EAV) is done on me, lactobacillus sporogenes come up still the best probiotic for my gut (by far).
