If your friend is insulin dependent then definately keep close tabs on the Sugar and of course back way off on the injections. Iread on the flush pages that this flush (the Dr. Clark cleanses) can even jump start the pancreas although everyone is different so bear that in mind.

I would think that the regular ES doses with grapefruit juice would help the Sugar level pretty good. You can even substitue apple juice (granny smith) or lemon juice. If the fast is causing too low sugars then certainly use common sense and take some juice or Sugar water if necessary.

My EX is a diabetic so I understand your concern. The flushes are all adaptable so don't think its carved in stone.
