After two flushes still pain near bottom rib...

After two flushes I still have what feels like swelling (a dull pain) right under my lowest right rib.

Could this just be that my liver is swollen and not by gall bladder?

a few years ago (about 10 actually) I was eating LOADS of ice cream every day and was a carpet layer. One day out of the blue my right arm, right shoulder and neck had excruciating pain. It was so severe I had to quit my job of laying carpet.
This most likely was due to gall stones?

When I went to the doctor he looked at the x-rays and with extreme scorn (in front of my wife at the time) said "There is nothing wrong with you and don't think you are going to get any compensation from the state either!"
I was shocked. First of all I was not trying to collect, nor ever collected unemployement or whatever the heck it is you call it when you get injured. I told him that if there is nothing wrong then why am I in such pain?

The pain in arm, shoulder and neck has gone away now. Thank God for that! It was horrible!

But back to my main question:
Is it normal to continue to have pain under the rib even after doing flushes? And if so how long will it take for the pain to go away on average? how many flushes?

thanks and am so thankful that this site is here!
