Iodine log: update
This covers roughly the last 6 weeks of experimentation with
Iodine supplementation. While this covers a relatively long amount of time, there is not a lot to report other than getting into the record what I have to report from my own experiences thus far. There is also an aside/bonuse coverage that is related but not directly so with my
Iodine experimentation.
Topping the rather short list of things to report - no miracle stories; none were anticipated. With the "foot" being an exception, neither are there any horror stories to report; none were expected. At least a few of you remember the foot episode that took a drastic turn after my inexperienced, amateure first go at "painting". I'm pretty sure those posts are now locked away somewhere in that mysterious CZ Meltdown that occured subsequent to those posts, which I may revisit / repost, if and when circumstances allow. Also not far from the top of the short-list is the daily temperature measurement. I have not yet seen any pattern emerging. This morning's waking temperature was 97.0, which is definitely within the rather wide range that I've been waking too the past month or two. Also, I have been regularly supplementing with Ester C (increasingly, currently up to about 1 teaspoon per pop within the hour of each
Iodine dose), and Selenium (50 mg at a pop) and Magnesium (taken as Epsom Salt, about 1/16 to 1/8 of a teaspoon per pop, taken with the C / Juice mix).
Today being Monday, the daily experimental regimen is now at 4 fat-drops taken twice daily. The first dose of the day is generally taken in a small glass of plain distilled water, with roughly a teaspoon to tablespoon of ACV added. It seems important to me to clarify - fat drops versus skinny drops. As was noted early on in this support forum (and I believe some of these notes were not erased by the meltdown), using a dropper to serve up Iodine doses is not a precise situation; not all drops are created equally.
With some exceptions, the regimen continues to be 5 days on (M-F) and the weekend off. Chief among the exceptions are those little, unexpected things that tend to pop up unannounced & unplanned for that in turn cause me to briefly adjust/modify this 5 & 2 regimen. For instance, sometime in early April, I came down with a "something", a bug, a cold, something, that never fully manifested in full-blown something. Instead, for the past 4 - 6 weeks this something has been sort of lingering, sometimes producing lots of sneezing on some days, some times producing other symptoms of general malaise, but never fully erupting, such as in constant nasal drainage, cold, bronchitis, etc. I do not know that this has anything to do with my experimental Iodine regimen. My gut feeling is, I don't think it does, but to repeat, I_do_not_know. Some of the symptoms that have been lingering the past weeks (flared up ears / Eustachian tubes) themselves are not out of the ordinary for me BUT there are several other people that recently have told me they too have been experiencing lingering symptoms such as these. Along the way, about 2 weeks ago, there was definitely a day when I was sure I was coming down with a fever, and sore throat, and generally feeling achey/tired. As a hedge against this other new situation of I_don't_know ( I never seem to be in short supply of these), I took 4 big doses, spaced over the period of two days, of an herbal Anti-plague supplement, that is outside the scope of this forum. That seemed to help. It did not rid all the symptoms entirely, but definitely seemed to knock out the encroaching fever and whatever had been causing it, after which I then returned to the general condition of sometimes itchy/popping/achey ears, sometimes sneezing/nasal condition, and this has persisted this way up until the past few days when all of this seems to have gotten better. For all I know, the actual cause of this phenom could be the result of any of various other things I/we do not really know about, to include the not_chemtrails phenom that many people are somewhat aware of. This mystery could also have been in part due to a completely separate other mystery I have endured for many years - a doctor telling me "oh, you're allergies are flaring up....here, you better take some of these (Seldane?)", and this from someone who by and large has never really had a typical/seasonal problem with "allergies"; I_do_not_know.
For the first time, there was one day last week when, upon waking, I exhibited about as close as I have come thus far to eliminating brown urine.... it wasn't really what I would call really brown, but neither was it what I would consider normal for my urine. It definitely had a dark shade to it, more like an amber, and it was lacking the froth/bubbles that frequently appear in my urine at any/all hours of the day. I also woke up feeling mid-back pain, which I suspect relates to something to do with my kidneys/bladder, something that I've been experiencing off and on for many months dating well before I ever knew there was an Iodine Support fourm. On this day, I decided to add a somewhat new wrinkle to this experimentatin; within 20 minutes of first arriving down stairs, I drank two 16
oz glasses of water, each with about 1/4 teaspoon of Redmonds added. What was really interesting to me is that this would normally have me back up in the bathroom within 15 to 30 minutes. However, the next bladder movement did not occur for another 3 hours!..... seemed odd but somehow telling to me. That next bladder movement produced fairly normal, light-colored urine that also had a bit of the normally telltale (for me) bubbles/froth.
That is pretty much all there is to report at this point. If I were to take a guess, I would guess that lone dark-urine incident from last week suggests that I might be getting close......close to experiencing some of the more typical _________ that both the research and others have reported being their experience with purusing Sufficiency. Feel free to fill in that blank with whatever term satisfies you, "symptom", "detox", "quirk", "oh me, oh my, the sky is falling and Iodine is kiling me just like all the Iodophobes said it would". That _____ is yet another of the many _______ added to the increasing pile of _______ that I can only say "I_do_not_know", but feel free to put in that blank whatever term satisfies you.
Aside: as to the entrenched itchy-rash condition that preceded the foot-flareup post painting episode, once that flareup mess was gotten under control (thank you, Slippery Elm grewl poultice!), this "is it Eczema, is it Memorex, is it CCD?" phenom had taken on a new staus quo; manifesting from the foot, past the ankle, to most of the shin/calf and stopping about 3
inches short of the knee cap. Status quo meaning, new crops of rash seemed to have stopped progressing further up the leg, and down at the foot/ankle, a few small patches of light oozing was occuring 24-7, and this overall situation seemed to be content to continue hanging out in this condition on the greater foot/ankle/shin/calf, and was not getting any better on the itch/rash front. Wombat send me a second batch of home-made herbal salve she named "itch".... and it works quite well and quickly at stopping intense itch in it's tracks! Anyway, recognizing that this rash was not getting any better, I decided to add a new experimental twist, partly because I had grown somewhat weary and frustrated with this rash situation. I guess this makes me not unlike a lot of other peopel who suffer from the same general overall condition whereby few people if any know what the actual cause is but many seem content to say "yep, you got Eczema"; weary and frustrated by it. Up in the bathroom is a rack of 4 shelves where I keep most of my collective first-aid / ointments / q tips / bandaids / "medicines" / etc. There has been a relic maintained, an artifact of sorts, from those days when I was still fully plugged into the matrix, working 8-5 as a corporate minion, and, of course "benefitting" from health-insurance coverage. The relic? An 80 gram (2.8-ounce) tube of Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream - USP, 0.1%. It had been so long since I had been prescribed this tube that I forget, exactly, what the theory was upon which the Doctor had prescribed it. Generally, I remember that it was prescribed to use on the broad litany of isolated patches across, around, in, and on all parts of my body skin where I've had all sorts of different itches/blemishes/disorders, most diagnosed as "
Psoriasis X, dermatitisY,
Psoriasis Z, etc" that I have been afflicted with for many years on end now.
I picked out a small test area where the existing rash/itch was not manifesting too badly, and rubbed in a bit of this old cream. Within 24 hours a clear line of demarcation was visible between this test area and the adjacent still-itching, still-rashed situation. Over the course of the next week, I slowly increased the area over which I applied this cream. As of about 3 days ago, for the most part, the itch/rash, as I know it and have known it for close to 11 months now, is gone! Left in it's place are all sorts of small patches of discolered and or scarred skin that, as best I can tell, are evidence that speak of the overall condition that's been ongoing on this leg the past many months. It's now been 2 days since I last applied any of this cream. From what I gather, this cream includes a steroid, and the wrap/knock against such as it applies to chronic skin diseaes is that, after stopping the use of such steroid, the disease condition that manifests in visible skin eruptions will soon return. Time will tell. In the mean time, at least from an obvious/visible perspective, this seems to be reason to chalk one up for orthodoxy. Is it possible that I have just witnessed first hand the occasional blind & starvign squirrel stumbling upon an acorn?
