I have been reading around the subject of the Mayan prophecy and one thing I have concluded now is that a lot of information out there including this is too much for the average person to want to read. In a nutshell what does the 2012 Mayan prophecy mean?

The suns winter solstic will be aligned with the galactic center.

I read further on to discover that the sun has already been aligned with the galactic center in 1998.
