My daughter-in-law also uses white vinegar as a fabric softener.

When reading that list on frugal living, memories sparked. I prefer a bar of olive oil soap when washing dishes; there's a rustic feeling to lathering a cotton dishcloth and then rubbing that sudsy foam over dishes my family just used.

Funny how my old age has changed my perspective.
