The liver massage I do is very simple. I bought a heating pad from Kaz and a muscle massager from Homedics. Any flat heating pad would do - but I recommend you get a powerful massager. I put the heating pad over the liver area and use the massager on top of the heating pad. I do this for 30 -60 minutes every night while watching television or meditating. Sometimes I'll do this in the morning too.
There is no discomfort of any kind and it has made a huge difference. My ability to handle fatty foods without fatigue/sluggishness just keeps getting better and better. I think the massaging also helps break up the sludge inside the liver which will help with my next liver flush. This must be helping to eliminate the "sluggishness" of my liver.
