Re: Andreas' Timeless Secrets Book
Guilt and Shame kill. I don't think anyone who has suffered from emotional stress and pain can be said to be physically well. It is entirely possible that the physical follows the mental. In my case I see this clearly.
I'm no expert on Andreas (Peace to you!). He says that when we *resist* fear it has negative affects. He says when we embrace a medical label, we become that disease. I have seen this in myself and in others. I understand what he is saying. Maybe not everyone can understand. Maybe you are not understanding.
Perhaps Tim2, you have misunderstood to totality of what he is saying? Maybe Andreas is wrong in places. As far as I know, a dozen mis-statements in nearly 500 pages of writing is hardly condemnatory. Read any medical/healing works and there will be errors, mis-statements, and logical fallacies.
I read Andreas as saying that healing begins in the mind. I have been sick before, as we all have I'm sure. I can have a positive, upbeat,
healthy attitude even while "suffering". I can also wallow in my misery lamenting my crisis. These are mental exercises. I can switch between them in the same day, feeling the same physical "symptoms." Can't you?
Consider the option: that we are victims of disease. That life can only be enjoyed when at its utmost health and then from there no happiness or wellness is possible without a "war" on a disease.
Life is not a logic puzzle. Life is mysterious and surprising whether we believe it or not.
