I couldn't agree more! Both the women who trained me in colon hydrotherapy were R.N.s and they lamented the decline of hospital enema use across the board. Their opinion was that hospital administrators were just cutting corners to keep costs down, and enemas take time, and nurses time is expensive.
They claimed that most R.N.s, particularly the ones from their generation (practicing prior to the mid 1980's) were firm believers in the benefits of the old fashioned cleansing enema for a variety of conditions.
