Re: Mainstream article
I hope you did not feel I responded to the
woman's request for interviews because I
wanted to be famous. That was the least of
my agenda. It was because I am familiar and
comfortable with print media that I felt I
could get some emphasis in for using the
MC as a tool for change and part of good
body maintenance. Of course out of a thirty
minute interview, a couple quotes were lifted.
Still, I thought it worked out pretty well
since, as happened, it is never a pro or con
but a mixed bag with some slants.
I figure, those who see the potential for life
long change will use it as a tool and stepping
stone and that is my agenda, to reach out to
those people looking for a way.
Others will go for the novelty of it or make a
desperate attempt to use it as a shortcut to
losing 10
pounds in 2 days or whatever. It is
worth the effort to shine a positive light on
the topic.
I was hoping I had not been the only one to
volunteer to be interviewed. We perhaps could
have had a bigger impact. Still, seeds for
change are out there and yes, it may mean another
volley of those coming here with their bathroom scale
under their arm, looking for a quick fix, but hey,
what else is new??
I liked that a health food store in Brooklyn
could not keep
The Master Cleanser book in
stock. That is a positive sign. Stanley's work
lives on. It may not be perfect, but it is
growth. People do change too. The archives prove
that, and as people come to the cleanse and it
changes them and their perspective, much healing
is possible and has happened. I am certainly one
success story :)
Best wishes,
Zoe
