Provoking "curbie attitude"

"Asperger's Syndrome is a pervasive developmental disorder"

Just by saying that AS is a disorder you provoke a whole lot of aspies, not because "it isn't true", it's just rude.

I often see that neurodiversity supporters, espeicially those who are parents, are angered by the way "curbies" view autism as a tragic disease and disorder. Like if a "curbie" parent ask a very personal question regarding their autistic child (who could indeed be listening) directly only to the parent, like if the child wasn't "there". Aswell as any other "Autistics = nonperson" behavior that could also indeed be received from teachers at ABA insititutions.
