ACV skin burn

My wife has used ACV to remove 3 warts on the hand of my seven year old daughter. (ACV, cottonball, band-aid, rubber glove on over nite) This has been going for about 1 week. two of the warts are gone and the third (largest) is dissipating. One problem - the skin on my dughter's hand around the warts has turned pink and it looks as if maybe a layer or two of skin has peeled off - I don't want to damage her skin as she is so young, but my wife wants to keep the ACV treatment on until the wart is gone.
