Re: I think I understand - please explain...
To All -
I don’t have any MAJOR health issues. I haven’t looked at the
Master-Cleanse in isolation. Like many here it is one of many protocols that I have encountered. I have done over 3 dozen Liver Flushes, I have been Colonix cleansing for over 2 years (with breaks). Despite testimonies to the contrary, though I have expelled the usual cast of characters through these processes, they did not cause me to lose weight (that came with a lot of exercise and a controlled diet) or to lower my cholesterol (and have avoided most cholesterol containing foods during this time), during some of these periods I stopped taking Lipitor only to see my cholesterol go up even more, but I persevere. So not everything stated here, that everyone claims benefit to necessarily benefits everyone the same, if at all. That’s my experience and it is as valid as any other observation and the only one that counts, for me, and I share that, here, as a consideration and want to hear back from others, who might share my experience. My experiences do not match the rose colored glasses view that all things work perfectly as planned all the time. So, why the master cleanse? Why not. Let’s see how this will clean me out. Get out what Colonix hasn’t? But, first things first. I clearly stated that I was just going to do it for a couple of days to see how I would react to it. Would I be running to the bathroom all the time. Don’t know? I worked Sunday afternoon. Didn’t want to start ‘til I got home, off on Monday and Tuesday. How would it affect my blood sugar. Don’t know? I only started testing several weeks ago and am very conscious of what I eat. Taking in Maple Syrup on a steady run was certainly a consideration. My numbers will be of interest to others on the borderline and I would be interested in their’s. In the end, we may demonstrate that there was never anything to worry about, but then, that is the purpose of this forum, to share experiences and ask the questions, not to berate and badger me to stop screwing around and just do it. My glucose numbers are fortunately not relatively that high (but high enough), and I was certainly concerned about it, so I share that information. Artificially sustaining high levels as a pre-diabetic, is a legitimate concern and rather than get responses to discuss this, I get responses to ignore it. No one else has ever had a problem ….. , you all tell me, that you know of. Just like no one has ever had a problem with the SWF. Right!. Others have had problems. My pressure has always been normal and it was shock to watch it spike. Though I stated I probably didn’t prepare properly, I can’t say why it hasn’t worked for other’s, and I have no idea what the next one will bring. But you can’t simply say it is totally your fault and you are uninformed, because you don’t know what it is they may or may not have done. (Pepe, that’s why I made that comment. I felt you were implying things that had no basis, even though there was nothing in your comments that were directly about it.)
I had never considered the effect of Epson Salts from the liver flush, until this happened, but was relieved at my next attempt, when I checked, that it had no effect.
Roberta, keeping daily records, is what I do to see the bigger picture. My choice to do it, yours not. Been writing my weight on a weekly basis for a year and a half, and it is eye opening to see what a regular pattern of progress and regression I have made during that time. I need to see those numbers as a validation.
In the end, for me, for this protocol, there are considerations of time, circumstance, cost and even just plain necessity or lack thereof for me to do this. I have other reasons why I should, but those are my reasons you don’t need to know. So far, OK, with OK ingredients, and that is more re-assuring than any so-called support I have gotten to this point. It was never my intention, to do anything extended at this time and I stated that. I just wanted to see my initial reaction. PERIOD!
