My main reason to "start slow" yet still work UPWARD!

My main reason for stating to others to "start slow" (yet still work UPWARDS) with Iodine is because of the scary racing heart I got for increasing my own Iodine too much too soon, and those who HAD, yes HAD a heart arrythmia like I DID...yes, DID, as in past tense.

I also HAD (yes, HAD) a slow heart-beat...only 60 beats per minute, which, btw, only a very healthy athlete-type should have...I'm no athlete.

However, I was impatient to get better, and on two occasions, took much higher doses of Iodine than was my original "work it upwards slowly" plan.

Both times I got a very scary racing heart out of the deal. I now equate it to what might happen if you consume too much water too quickly after a 30-minute run in 100-degree heat. You just DON'T do it. Because even though it is "only water"...when you are THAT DEFICIENT in something, you don't just SUCK DOWN MASSIVE QUANTITIES of water when you are that terribly deficient because IT CAN KILL YOU! You are supposed to sip that water s-l-o-w-l-y after that run, over a period of about 30 minutes!!!

So, I equated that knowledge (with the water and dehydration after a run in the heat) to a lifelong iodine deficiency! Since I've had heart problems ever since the birth of my child, it now makes sense to me that I was so incredibly deficient in iodine, I needed to start very slowly, but stay somewhat consistant with taking it, so that my body would know that I had no intention of stopping my iodine supplementation! When I stopped taking iodine, I learned to stop for only 2 or 3 days at a time; and then I'd get right back on it!

I started iodine supplementation on January 26th, finally learned to keep taking it slow, and am now taking the maximum dosage (the maximum dosage I've ever seen for the detoxified iodine, anyway) which is 8 drops twice a day!

I believe one of the reasons I allowed my most recent fast to go "too long" is because I NEVER truly got heart palpitations on it; it was something I always DID get on past fasts...and was the main reason for stopping a couple of them in the past!

I should also report, that my heartrate is now a MUCH healthier 70 beats per minute! No palpitations, no arrythmias (or feeling like it is "skipping a beat")! I was diagnosed a couple of years ago with a mild "long-QT syndrome" and was recommended to take "beta-blockers"...fortunately, I never went on them! I had read that the pills alone can worsen the condition, and that's why I never went on them! I'm so very thankful that I didn't. I, myself, kept pushing to find out what was "wrong with my heart" because I could always feel the arrythmia myself - it is quite an uncomfortable thing to experience...and scary!

You can't imagine how incredibly wonderful it is NOT to have such a problem anymore!

I am...ecstatic!

And, now that my heart is strong, and my intestines are cleaned out from fasting, I am taking the maximum dosage I've seen in print for my particular type of iodine, and, even though I was still experiencing the frontal lobe headaches (had two bad ones earlier this week, which Emercen-C brand vitamin C fizzy drinks took care of) and also had two bromide-pimple break-outs - today is day 5 of my 10,000mg per day protocol of taking extra C for a week (as per Abraham) and...I...feel...phenomenal again!

I can't wait to see what's in store for me!
