Re: Anyone heard of Cerec Vita Porcelain??
I have indeed heard of this material and have been discussing it on another forum. I have done so much reading on this and research, I have come to the conclusion, both from talking to others and emailing dentsits that it is probably one of hte most biocompatible dental materials you can get.
Unlike composites, it does not tend to leach out its components, which is a big plus for starters. The problem is the expense of it, but it will last up to 20 years or so. It is supposedly one of the best tolerated materials. So much so in fact, that Walter Clifford who runs the blood serum testing lab in US, who tests for reactions gainst just about all known materials, is thinking of scrapping cerec off the testing list. Why? He has not seen ONE adverse response so far... again, I still dont feel there is any guarantees and I am wary of anything. But he gains nothing from saying that, and is very knowledgeable.
I know two people on the forum I am on that had it replaced and are no longer on the forum. They are getting well. One in particular was so toxic and allergic, she could hardly tolerate anything. She got cerec and is doing ok now. The other person (guy), is also improving. He is very happy with it.
but bear in mind, after any
Amalgam removal is done, there is commonly a worsening of symptoms as the body attempts to dump the storage back out. So just be on your guard for that.
Here is a link you may find helpful and interesting, keep reading until you get to the part where they discuss dental materials.
