My kidneys take a beating when I flush also. I've learned to follow my flushes with a couple days on my kidney cleanser each time.

A swollen liver puts physical pressure on the right kidney and can cause problems. I had kidney stones twice on the right side long before I ever knew I had a liver problem.

When the pain started in my liver in the fall of 2005, my urine suddenly went completely clear. My kidneys weren't extracting toxins? Sounds like it to me.
