unfortunately, when it comes down to it, the DEA's hands are either tied or dirty. It really comes down to - who's job is it to protect us from our protectors? Who wants such a job? In trying to carry it out, the hours are long, the short term pay may not be all that great, one is likely to encounter lots of resistance, one may well wake up dead for genuinely trying their best to do it.

There is a mammoth infrastructure that's been in place for eon's that administers and protects the channels of massive, mega profits in "illicit" drugs being smuggled, imported, distributed, and sold in this country. No less than two months to the day that John Lennon was quoted in an interview (and less than 2 weeks from the day this interview hit the streets) in which he stated (paraphrased) "well, Harry, we must always thank the U.S. Army and the CIA for keeping us well supplied with our drugs", and bang, bang, bang, bang, he's dead. To a large extent, our "intel" services have for decades, while operating loosely as their own self-spawned, self-appointed authority with near zero government/congressional restraints (except for illicit funding therein), equate to private mercenaries/thugs/killers/nation-topplers working on behalf of the filthy rich families and their industries and their philanthropists and their state department and their politicians and their judicial system and their police and their compromised DEA agents.

This system allows & protects the necessary crops to be grown, then harvested, and shipped worldwide, by the tons, allowing them to bypass the very systems of enforcement/inspection the same system people have set up to interdict such drugs if/when they are carried in ounces or pounds by un-elite people. Clinton built a shiny new big-time airport in Mena Arkansas for this very purpose! - brings drugs in, bypyassing normal import inspections, where they are then trucked cross country to eventually end up on our streets and in our kids. Our leaders and their controllers behind them profit grandly along the way. It's win-win for them, lose-lose for us. These are the same people who concurrently manage our "war on drugs". Since they bring in the drugs, and since they know who their king pins are that top of the distribution chain, they obviously know who, when and where to stage a "bust", utilizing a compromised media, anytime they want to trot out a dramatic "breaking news story" to further remind us they are on the look out for our best interests.... and the ruse continues.

There is not all that much that separates those players invovled in the management of the covert illicit drug industry and those involved in the management of the overt commercial drug industry; more suits, ties and skirts. It's the same basic cabal of authorities and law makers and law breakers looking the other way, in large part becaue many of them are compromised, on the take, and profiting as a result. This is not "another conspiracy", it's the same, bloodly, massive, far reaching, well constructed, well oiled conspiracy. When it all comes down to it, Merck, Galaxo, AMA, FDA, et. al, are as dirty, if not dirtier, than a Medellin or Escobar. At least weed and coca grows on this green earth. Coca Cola does not, Prozac does not, nor does Vioxx, or until such time that we've all been properly adjusted and our memory holes sufficiently enabled, they don't.
