5 ppm is pretty weak. What type of silver maker do you have? I would think that a very weak silver is likely to be like the proverbial drop in a bucket.

Also, I'm wondering if the silver will really stay in the area? If you sweat a lot, I imagine it could cause the silver to move away from the skin, perhaps sticking to the clothing.
