Re: general question not sure where to post
Hi flowermh...You had mitral valve but now the doctor doesn't find any signs of it?
Mitral valve doesn't just 'go away'...does it? I've had Mitral Valve all my life
and finally had to be put on Lanoxin for it in 1986...my heart was just having
run aways...averaging 156 beats a minute.
Shelley of "Ask Shelley" told me years ago that I could get off my meds...but it
would take work...and I just haven't taken the time to try to do it.
Starting last fall, I began having very hard 'flip flops'...'thuds' and run aways.
The doctor couldn't find any reason for it and told me not to worry...I said, "Well
you let YOURSELF almost pass out from a hard thud...and see how YOU like it...but
if you can't find out what's causing it...I'll figure it out myself." It took me
5 months...and I just happened to overhear another lady in the store say, "I just
can't take aspirin...it makes my heart go plum crazy." I kept thinking of that
on the way home and remembered I had started adding an aspirin a day last fall...
about the time this all started....so I left off the aspirin and haven't had it since and it's been about 2 months.
Too much caffeine can do it for anyone...but especially if you have mitral valve.
And on the magnesium...if we have mitral valve...we probably need to add magnesium...but add it in small amounts...slowly...because with mitral valve...too
much magnesium and give you flip flops and runs too.....
Hope this helps....keep us posted. kathryn
