The largest problem when an injury occures is that your normally stuck with what ever method your local ER has/does. Today the big thing( big $$$)is the MRI. I have no doubt a hospital would have wanted an MRI for my leg to see muscle damage, small bones in the foot, etc., etc.
The nice things about kids is they heal super fast. Trevor took a high dive off the top bunk bed on purpose and discovered the pillows he put on the floor did not result in the results at age 2 he wanted. It appeared he broke his left forarm, but nothing of great damage, no bones moved out of place, more of a fracture, etc. We took him to the chiropractor in a few days and he could feel where the bone had already healed and was a little thicker at the mend spot. Naturally if a limb is dangling and a main bone broken, then yes, odds are your going to go to the guys that know how to set the bones and get things straight; but thankfully we have never had to go that route and if we ever do, we will be stuck with what ever method the man in white demands.
