God is love, that is not an atheist concept. I am not an atheist or anything, but you might be interested in a book called What God Wants and you basically come to the idea that God is everything in life and that God lacks nothing because God is all that God could ever want which is essentially love. Hell is the absence of Love or God, while Heaven is the presence of God. To be happy, to smile, to sing, w/e makes you feel good is to be in a state of Heaven, while to be depressed, sad, unhappy, suicidal is to turn away from God (love) and to be in Hell. At least this is my understanding of God/Heaven/and Hell. Too many people go around condeming others to hell... the only person who can condemn themselves to heaven or hell is that person, not someone else. Tweet
