Re: need advice on RAW

HI, I am also new to feeding raw, but have been trying to raise my dogs ini a holistic approach. I have been making homemade dog food for a while now, and love it, but am switching to raw because I believe one of my dogs is suffering from allergies from the rice I was feeding and just think it is more natural - and easier to prepare!!
Anyways, one book I would strongly recommend is Dr. Pitcairn's Complete Guide to Natural Health for Dogs and Cats. It has so much usesful inforamation like first aid and homeopathic remedies, healthy diets and recipes, tips on switching diet and fasting. There is not a whole lot about raw, but the book does promote it. I guess it is just a more self explanatory diet and doesn't require recipes and such. There are some recipes that would be useful for your dogs with bad teeth.
I hope this is helpful, I get copies of it on amazon, usually they have used copies of the new edition that are not too expensive. $10 - $20?
