Thanks for posting this vital, basic information, vtool. Don't forget the fine (not sterling) silver electrodes. Email the guy at C.C. Silver & Gold, Inc. at: info@ccsilver.com Ask him the latest spot price for a couple of feet of pure 99.99 fine silver wire, 14 gauge plus shipping, then round it up to be polite and get some very nice silver electrodes at a purity that I find doesn't make my ears ring as does 99.95 silver. What you make may be more pure than commercial silver colloid products as one analysis of some commercial products showed heavy metal contamination.
I think it's grand that between vtool, Radio Shack and C.C. Silver & Gold, a person can have wonderfully pure silver colloid for pennies a gallen, not dollars per ounce. Stir your hot distilled water in your non-metallic container with a wooden spoon while making and you have the best silver colloid money can buy. Clean electrodes with a plastic scrubber, store in a dark bottle (old peroxide bottle works well) and enjoy a perkier life if you use it in the moldy fridge defroster pan and lightly sprayed on air filters. Ahhh...
