Could be the acids in the oil. I don't know how much more acidic olive oil is compared to others, but you may be more sensitive to it.

Some people have experienced tooth decoloration from olive. Others like it very much, but I would be remiss not to at least mention it to you.

I would try a new oil actually. It's a weird feeling at the beginning anyway.
