Eucalyptus Essential Oils


There are several Eucalyptus essential oils. I have included some information on Eucalyptus Globulus, Eucalyptus Polybractea, Eucalyptus Radiata, Eucalyptus Citrioda, and Eucalyptus Dives.


EUCALYPTUS GLOBULUS (Eucalyptus globulus)

Extraction Method: Steam distilled from leaves

Key Constituents:

1,8 Cineole (58-80%)
Alpha Pinene (10-22%)
Limonene (1-8%)
Para-Cymene (1-5%)
Trans-Pinocarveol (1-5%)
Aromadendrene (1-5%)
Globulol (0.5-1.5%)

Expectorant, mucolytic, antimicrobial, antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, anti-aging.

USES: Respiratory/sinus infections, decongestant, rheumatism/arthritis.

Fragrant Influence: It promotes health, well-being, purification, and healing.


EUCALYPTUS POLYBRACTEA (Eucalyptus polybractea)

Extraction Method: Steam distilled from leaves

Key Constituents:

1,8 Cineole (Eucalyptol (60-80%)
Limonene (1-5%)
Para-Cymene (1-5%)
Alpha-Cymene (1-5%)

Medical Properties: antiviral, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, expectorant, mucolytic, and insect repellent.

USES: Acne, urinary tract/bladder infections, viral infections (Herpes).


EUCALPYTUS RADIATA (Eucalyptus radiata)

Extraction Method: Steam distilled from leaves.

Key Constituents:

Eucalyptol (60-75%)
Alpha Terpineol (5-10%)
Limonene (4-8%)
Alpha Pinene (2-6%)

Medical Properties: Antibacterial, antiviral, expectorant, anti-inflammatory.

USES: Respiratory/sinus infections, viral infections (fights Herpes simplex when combined with bergamot).

EUCALYPTUS CITRIODORA (Eucalyptus citrioda)

Extraction Method: Steam distilled from leaves

Key Constituents:

Citronellal (75-85%)
Neo-isopulegol + Isopulegol (0-10%)

Medical Properties: Analgesic, antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal, expectorant, and insecticidal.

USES: Fungal infections (ringworm, Candida), respiratory infections, viral infections (Herpes, shingles).


EUCALYPTUS DIVES (Eucalyptus dives)

Extraction Methods: Steam distilled from leaves

Key Constituents:

Alpha- and Beta-Phellandrene (23-30%)
Piperitone (35-45%)
Para-Cymene (6-10%)
Alpha-Thujen (2-6%)
Terpinene-4-ol (3-6%)

Medical Properties: Mucolytic, diuretic, antibacterial

USES: Hyertension, throat/lung infections
