Unfortunately unless you buy a Hanna PWT meter you won't really have a handle on what you are making in terms of ppm before (the ditilled water has a ppm) and after with your CS. If you time how long it takes to make your cs just before it begins to turn yellow you can get slightly smaller particle size. It's really not that big of a deal. If you want smaller particle size you can just add an ounce of peroxide to your yellow CS and it should go clear in a short time (maybe 15min or more. The yellow CS is still ok to use. For many years yellow CS was the only kind people thought was any good because you could SEE that it was CS and not water.
