Re: Day 33 of 40

Thankyou for your email ~ I didn't even think about my back hurting being the cause of healing. Well, today was day 40 - I decided to end my fast early because I was starting to get extremely irritable and on edge. With my children especially, and that is not tolerable. So Monday I started doing OJ/lemonade - about 5 lemonades and maybe 3-4 8oz. cups of fresh OJ. I did the same on Tuesday, then around 7pm I had had about enough - it's really hard when you know you're coming off the fast and you "might" be able to eat now. You know?

So I ended up marinating some veggies in a mix of Braggs, Olive Oil, Garlic, Agave, crushed red pepper...basically trying to copy the stir-fry sauce I made for my family but making it raw. I ate maybe 1 cup of veggies/fruit, mostly tomatoes, onions, bell peppers, pineapples. That night my stomach started to hurt a little, and then in the morning I woke up feeling nauseous and that continued all day today. I even took a pregnancy test (negative) because I feel EXACTLY like I do during morning sickness.

I drank a green smoothie this morning with apples/spinach/kale/bananas/oranges and it didn't really help much, but I needed to eat something. I drank my last lemonade, and then ate about 1 cup of nuts (!). I knew I shouldn't have eaten the nuts probably, but they came in the mail and I had to try them, then ate a cup!

Tonight, Valentine's Day, I had a fabulous BIG salad of mixed baby greens, strawberries, mangos, and avocadoes with a macadamia/mango dressing. I feel okay, not as queasy now, but still really "off". I hope this clears up in the next day or two, and I've decided I'll probably never do a 38-day fast again. 30 seems to be perfect for me, that's what I did before and didn't feel this way when it was over.
