Detox Summary (please add yours)

Let’s try and see if we can come up with somewhat of a summary of what to expect. Perhaps with some discussion we can even categorize these symptoms into sections. I am sure some people have done chelating before and can tell when symptoms are heavy metal detox and other who have blood pressure issues could confirm what they feel as well.

Let me start off with summarizing what I have noticed:

- Highly elevated alertness and better vision was the immediate reaction, this occurred on the first day.

- Better body temperature regulation, actually the most noticeable has been the lack of core coldness. The kind that makes you feel like you want to sit inside the fireplace.

- Better digestion, I believe this is just the beginning of that it will take some time to get the whole body to adjust to better/more stomach acid

- I had a Peditox done a couple of days ago, I have had these done every week or so to help with lymph system detox. This time the water barely changed color (deep brown every other time) one could smell the Iodine coming from the lymph this way and some metal (Mercury?) collected at the bottom of the foot spa. This leads me to believe that Iodine distributes throughout the system and uses its antibacterial properties to keep the lymph system clear of infections…

- One of the articles talked about the amount of Iodine used by the gallbladder. For decades I have had an ileo-cecal valve issue. Finally I traced this to too much unbound bile being dumped into the intestine. This toxic bile irritates the ileo-cecal valve and causes it to dysfunction.

The other more chronic problem is that an open valve allows bacteria from the LI to interact with bacteria from the SI and this war of the bacterial world is played out in your ileum. Now that area has at least 2 major lymph drainage system and a war there with some intestinal perforation plugs up your lymph system besides it allow candida growth throughout. In short; it appears that by supplying sufficient iodine to the gallbladder this symptom has been completely eliminated. So without iodine the gallbladder is UNABLE to tie up the toxins completely into the bile and this inability causes countless medical issues.

- Blood pressure fluctuation, it appears that the liver cannot deal as effectively with the hormones produce from Bromine as it can with the Hormones produced with Iodine. This causes a temporary overlap while one is still in the system and the new one is being implemented. This blood pressure fluctuation has taken a couple of days and still occasionally comes up but does not seem to last to long now.

- Blood Sugar levels, same as above, maybe better keep away from the simple sugars while this plays out. There are sometimes severe symptoms of blood Sugar level variations.

On the negative side:
- Huge load on the kidneys, the bladder appears fine since even a little left over iodine works as an anti-bacterial there but the kidneys are busy to say the least.

- Some liver involvement as well, feels like candida die-off to me. Perhaps a side effect of the iodine in the blood...

- Sleep cycle disturbed, if you don't have enough chloride (salt) intake with enough water then the halogen detox can keep you awake. On the plus side once you fall asleep you seem to sleep better and wake up refreshed.
NOTE: Maybe not all halogens, perhaps heavy metal detox is part of this. Adding cilantro may help

- And finally the incessant need to get everyone around you started with Lugol's, this appears to be the worst side effect :)
