Re: Group that helps pay for amalgam removal for low income, chronically ill people

Hi! I'm Colleen, the Executive Director of the Jigsaw Health Foundation. I wanted to let you all know that we're not a scam and we do help people get their amalgams out. We accepted 28 beneficiaries out of 164 applicants last year, our first year in operation. You can get our application online at www.JigsawHealth.org.

We are only able to help about 10% of the people that apply which is why some people claim to have a bad experience with us. They expected to get funding and were disappointed when they didn't.

If you have any way of removing your amalgams on your own, by all means, do it! We mainly exist for people who are VERY low income and have NO WAY to get their amalgams removed on their own. What do they have to loose?

We do require a treatment plan from a mercury-free dentist before making our decision but if you are below the poverty line, we can help pay for that exam or find a dentist to do it for free.

Here's a link to a disgruntled applicant with lots of other comments below from beneficiaries so you can see both sides and decide for yourself: http://www.patsullivan.com/blog/2006/03/jigsaw_health_f.html#comment-27555738

I'm happy to respond to any concerns or questions you may have. Best wishes, Colleen
