Encourager...Feb..What Are You Passionate About?

WHAT ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT?
This month, many of us will celebrate Valentines Day. I’m passionate about
Valentine’s Day. I’m a hopeless romantic, so I’d almost have to be. But I’m
passionate about so many things. I couldn’t even begin to go into them all here.
Well known author & lecturer, Leo Buscaglia once said that
“Life is a Paradise for those who love many things with a passion!” One of the things I’m
passionate about is togetherness & quality time. And some of you have been privileged
to hear my ‘speech’ on that subject. J We rush through our days, one right after
the other…always hurrying to meet our many deadlines. And most of our days are so
full, they just fly by, virtually unnoticed. Making quality time with our spouse & kids
is one of the most important things we can do during our day. Even if we have to move
that quality time to the end of the day. Bill & Gloria Gaither said it best in their song,
“We Have This Moment”, & the chorus goes like this: “We have this moment to hold in our
hand & to touch as it slips through our fingers like sand. Yesterday’s gone & tomorrow
may never come…but we have this moment today!” One of the verses says; “Hold
them near, while they’re here, & don’t wait for tomorrow, to look back & wish for this day.”
Live with passion…and savor the moments!

Love Is Many Things
Love works in ways that are wondrous & strange. And there’s nothing in life
that love cannot change! Love can transform the most common place, into beauty
& splendor & sweetness & grace. Love is unselfish, understanding & kind.
For it sees with its heart & not with its mind. Love is the answer that everyone
seeks. Love is the language that every heart speaks. Love can’t be bought, it is
priceless & free. Love, like pure magic is life’s sweet mystery!

Love is friendship that has caught fire. It’s quiet understanding, mutual confidence,
sharing & forgiving. Love is loyalty through good & bad times. Love
settles for less than perfection & makes allowances for human weakness.
Love is content with the present, hopes for the future & doesn’t brood over the past.
It’s the day-in & day-out chronicle of irritations, problems, compromises & disappointments,
big victories & working towards common goals.
If you have love in your life, it can make up for a great many things that are missing.
If you don’t have love in your life, no matter how much more you do have, it isn’t enough!
