Arbitrary and Wrong.

I would not take this advice because it is wrong, vague or arbitrary.

In Leviticus there are several errors regarding the nature of animals.  The list is arbitrary and based on ignorance.  I like my lobster, my shellfish, mussels, crabs and I do not find them detestable.   Properly cooked they are deeeeee-licious.   I love a good rabbit stew and the rabbit does not chew the cud.   Bacon and eggs in the morning - there is almost nothing that does not go better with bacon.

And banning the consumption of four legged insects?  That is just stupid!!!!  There ain't no such creature.  They might as well ban the eating of Unicorns, Manticore and Pegasi.

Ezekiel 47: 12 reads like a newspaper horoscope.  I want real advice, not a vague references to "fruits."  Name the fruits, tell me what they do.  Tell me how to use the leaves.  Tell me what they will 'heal'

Whatever you heard about pork, it does not have any more risks associated with eating it that any other meat.

Parasites associated with pork and pork products.

Rev Sci Tech. 1997 Aug;16(2):496-506.

Three parasites pose a public health risk from the ingestion of raw or undercooked pork, namely: Trichinella spiralis, Taenia solium and Toxoplasma gondii. Inspection procedures, when practised according to prescribed methods, are effective in eliminating the majority of risks from T. spiralis and T. solium. No suitable methods for the post-slaughter detection of T. gondii are available. All three parasites are inactivated by various methods of cooking, freezing and curing; some information is also available on inactivation by irradiation.
