In the interests of building up an objective comparison of different methods & results here's my bit.
I use a 4 9v battery home made generator, make batches of 1 pint (UK Imperial measure) at a time using distilled water. I don't use salt or any other additives, except for the silver (.9999, 14 gauge). I just use the distilled water at room temp & have to run the generator for about 30-45 minutes. I don't have a scientific measure of PPM (although I'll soon have a TDS meter to give an indication of this) but the cs tastes slightly, but not strongly, metallic.
The cs I produce is clear but on occasion (rarely, but every so often) slight insubstantial whiteish clouds (more like thin streaks rather than clouds)
I generally don't stir my CS although sometimes I've done this but noticed no difference in taste, appearance or results.
