Actually I was looking at a water distiller but I found that they can vent VOC's that they remove when boiling them off. If you really want an awesome water filter look at this:

This filter removes over 500 contaminates has an 11 gal/min flow rate and the icing on the cake IT AUTOMATICALLY BACKFLUSHES ITSELF! The link I provided is for the filter with the Poly glas tank. There is also a tank available in stainless steel. It may seem expensive, but it filters up to 1 million gallons.
