The Pet Rock Theory
Decades ago veggie-ism was shown to be a stupid idea.
The reason was the “Incomplete Protein” makeup of plants and the complete protein of animals.
And it was Law, according to the meat eaters.
Then it was shown that if you ate complementary plant proteins within 24 hours the body sliced and diced to make complete proteins. (Smart body!)
And it was Law, according to the plant eaters.
Neither one of these “Laws” has swayed everyone to one point of view.
So what the heck does this have to do in the
Alkaline/Acid Debate Forum?
I’m glad you asked.
It’s about the “cement” or if you prefer the “Rock” theory.
But first one needs to define the type of cement we’re talking about.
The major component of cement is calcium carbonate or limestone – CaCO3.
It is this form of calcium that is commonly used medicinally as a calcium supplement or as an antacid.
Wow, cement used as an antacid, you’d think Doctor’s would know better.
There’s quicklime or Calcium oxide - CaO
And
Slaked lime or Calcium hydroxide - Ca(OH)2 better known to everyone here as pickling lime.
Say, wait a minute!
Carey Reams identified almost a quarter of a million different calcium compounds.

Damn the man.
How will I ever get the “right” Rock? Er, calcium?
After all, I know more than my body!
What Pet Rock will I choose?
That’s trippy, the only supplement of “rock” used had brewers yeast added for aiding assimilation.
Any “rock” without such was classified as possibly dangerous.
Hummm, why is that?
Say, wait a second.
Is it possible if I give all sorts of excess material like kelp or black strap molasses and something anionic such as lemon juice.
(That is, if I believed in his Biological Theory of Ionization.)
That perhaps my not so smart body might be able to create what it needs?
Dang, why couldn’t I just have a simple Pet Rock.
Life would be so much easier.
