Re: help, my mom turned her skin grey by using homemade CS
first of all, for the benefit of those on this forum, your mom did not turn grey from CS. properly make CS amd ionic silver using electrolysis will not turn a person grey. that said, i believe you when you say she turned grey on something she made at home.
this is the importance of using .999 or better pure silver bullion and pure distilled water. silver compounds have long been used in photography. exposure to chemicals or uv light will cause these reactions. most notable in this category is silver nitrate, which reacts sharply to uv exposure. it is also poisonous. also, the particles must be of a large enough size to lodge in the tissue of the skin in order for the coloration to take place. this is not possible with a little attention to detail.
care must be taken in making CS so that only pure silver is in contact with the pure water and electricity. any contaminants can create molecules which are harmful or will cause this condition, known as argyria.
there are several famous cases of this condition, including a politician in minnesota, i think. i have heard that argyria can be reversed, even though the common conception is that it cannot. i do not recall the particulars, and in fact have not run across the cure in my studies, just mention of it. perhaps it could be found doing a google search. if i have time later, i will see about it.
personally, i simply made sure i did not make anything which could cause this condition in the first place. after two years of making and taking it regularly, i would say i am proof it can be avoided. i spent a lot of time in the sun this summer and i still show a decent tan.
that is all i know for now. perhaps someone else can further enlighten us. on second thought, a good chelator like edta or cilantro might help, or a good skin brushing in a bath of
Epsom Salts . those surely wouldnt hurt anything to try.
