Congradulations to your Puppers for having clogged anal glands. Have your Vet check them, and express the glands. When the glands are not expressed by the pressure of defication, they may swell, or even become slightly infected. The scooting on the carpet is your dog's efforts at trying to relieve the pressure or discomfort. Breeds like Labs with a lot of muscle/fat tissue in the rear are prone to it.
Dogs do not get worms by eating mice. For example roundworms come from other dogs, Tapeworms from infected dogs via flea feces. If you have your dog on the monthly Sentinel heartworm medication, it will keep the other worms under control.
